And in the realm of totally random posts, I had to share this story. My 2 boys (ages 9 & 6) and I were having a lovely discussion this weekend about names. My older son declared he loves his name and thinks its a cool name. I added that sometimes people grow up hating their name and choose to change it as adults. So I asked my 6 year old if he liked his name.
He said it was okay, but would change it when he was older.
“To what,” we asked.
“To Cock.”
“Excuse me?!?!?” I asked.
“Cock, like cockatiel, but the nickname.”
I assured him that I would never call him Cock, but wouldn’t tell him why. What about you? Do you like your name or would you change it if you could? To what?
